Hagerstown Fiber Is Now Point Broadband

HAGERSTOWN, MD – Hagerstown Fiber, a locally owned and operated provider of fiber-to-the-home Internet services, today announced that it is being rebranded Point Broadband after the sale of its company to the West Point, Ga.-based broadband company earlier this year.

In 2017, Hagerstown Fiber began building a brand-new fiber-optic network to provide gigabit Internet services in Hagerstown. Hagerstown Fiber not only brought better Internet service to the community but provided better customer service and support. Todd Holt, Point Broadband CEO, said the company was a natural fit with Point’s core values, extreme focus on taking care of customers, and being engaged in the communities it serves.

We are excited to welcome another successful and talented family to the Point Broadband team,” Holt said. “Hagerstown Fiber has an excellent reputation for providing essential broadband services to satisfied customers in the area. Point Broadband is excited to be a part of Hagerstown community, and we’re ready to expand our fiber network in and around the region.”

Holt said current Hagerstown customers will continue to enjoy the same exceptional local service, support and reliability they’ve enjoyed with Hagerstown Fiber, only under the new Point Broadband brand. All Hagerstown Fiber employees will transfer to Point Broadband and the local company will be adding more jobs soon.

“I’m excited about the future for Hagerstown,” said Clint Wiley of Hagerstown Fiber. “I’m extremely proud of what we started a few short years ago. By joining the Point Broadband family, we gain the resources necessary to greatly expand the size of our network so we can serve all of Hagerstown and the surrounding areas.”

Point Broadband will begin construction on its fiber network expansion in the area this month.
