There are a variety of villages, towns and cities that make up Ohio’s South-Central region. South of the state capital of Columbus, you can find Lancaster, Circleville, Commercial Point, Amanda, and more communities with a great deal of history, charm, activities, and amenities.
The county seat of Pickaway County can be found in Circleville, Ohio, 26 miles south of Grove City. Circleville was founded in 1810 by European-American settlers that were moving west after the American Revolution. The largest DuPont plant in Ohio is located here, and it is home to other major manufacturers like PPG Industries and Fastenal.
In Columbus, there are many things to enjoy such as COSI, the Center of Science and Industry, a science museum and research center. Columbus is also home to Ohio State University and several professional sports teams, such as the Columbus Blue Jackets (hockey) and the Columbus Clippers (baseball).
