A new name for
Internet you can count on

It's a big change for us. This isn't just a new name. It's a better Internet experience and an investment in the communities we serve.

What's changing

Your account is moving to a new, easier to use billing system with a new online account, an extra week to pay your bill and new ways to pay.

See our FAQs below for full details on everything changing and important steps you'll need to take.

What's not changing

Your current plan and pricing, in-home equipment, Wi-Fi name and password all stay the same, and so does the local support team that you already know.

We're here to deliver an experience that's more your speed, not a one-size-fits-all connection. Fast. Reliable. Ready to help if something goes wrong. That’s our commitment.
That's the Clearwave promise to you.

The Fiber Internet upgrade you've been asking for

We’re investing in a better experience for every customer. Every person deserves to experience the Internet their way — that’s why we’re here.

Clearwave. Internet that’s more your speed

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Point Broadband becoming Clearwave?
Point Broadband has joined forces with Clearwave Fiber to build a stronger Fiber Internet experience, with more resources to invest in your network, reach new communities, and keep improving the service you count on. And we wanted a new name and look to match. Clearwave, reflects that: faster speeds, real accountability, and service that shows up, on your side if something goes wrong. Same local team, same promise, now backed by more.
What makes Clearwave different?
Our mission is simple. We're not just an Internet provider, we're here to deliver an experience that's more your speed. We recognize that no two people need Internet the same way, so we built our fiber network around how you actually live.  Whether you’re streaming, working from home, gaming, or simply staying connected, you get the speed that fits, and real people who answer when you need them.
What's getting better for me?
  • 24/7 technical support, up from set hours. A real person, any time.
  • Your billing due date will be extended by about 7 days giving you an extra week to pay on your bill.
  • New ways to pay: PayPal and Venmo, alongside many of the options you already use.
  • Real-time outage updates you can check yourself on our new website, coming soon.
  • Continued investment in the network behind your service.
What's changing with my billing?
Your account is moving to a new, easier-to-use billing system, as Point Broadband is becoming Clearwave. As part of this update, you’ll see: a fresh look for your bill, a new online account, a new address to send your payments to, an extra week to pay your bill, and new ways to pay.
What do I need to do?
Three quick things, that's it:
  • Set up your new online account within 24 hours of getting a new registration email. We’ll let you know when to expect this email.
  • Double check that your autopay carried over in the new account portal. Most accounts carry over automatically.
  • If you mail a check or use your bank's bill-pay, update the mailing address to the new address found below.
Everything else, we're handling on our end.
How do I set up my new online account?
Watch your inbox for an email titled “Clearwave Self-Service Account Registration.” Click the link inside within 24 hours to set up your new account. We’ll let you know when to expect this email. If the link expires before you get to it, no problem. Call us at 877-293-2973, email CustomerSupport@clearwavefiber.com, or chat with us online, and we'll set it up for you.
Will my autopay still work?
Your stored payment method should carry over automatically. If it doesn't, just add it again in your new online account, or give us a call and we'll take care of it. We'll also reach out if we notice it didn't carry over, so you're never caught off guard. And while you're in there, PayPal and Venmo are now both options too.
Where do I send a check, or update my bank's bill-pay?
Please update your payee and mailing address to:
Clearwave, P.O. Box 117848,
Atlanta, GA 30368-7848
Will my bill look different?
Yes. You’ll see a new format, new invoice numbers, and a cleaner layout. Your credits and any promotions carry over as they are, just presented differently. And you'll get an extra week to pay on your bill.
What’s changing with Promise to Pay?
Your new online account won't include self-service Promise to Pay. In its place, you're getting an extra week to pay every month: your due date is moving back about 7 days. Need more flexibility than that? Just give us a call and we'll work out a payment arrangement with you.
What's staying exactly the same?
Nothing here changes when we become Clearwave:
  • Your plan and pricing
  • Your in-home equipment, Wi-Fi name and password, and voice service
  • Your payment history: the last 12 months are right there in your account
  • Your security PIN and account safeguards
The only thing changing is how you manage your account. Nothing about your plan or pricing changes because of this move.
Do I need to do anything to keep my service working?
No, nothing with your service changes on your end. Your Internet service will continue just as it does today, and there's nothing you need to do.
I got an email from “clearwavefiber.com”, is this real?
Yes, that's really us. As we complete the move to the Clearwave name, you’ll see our emails come from a clearwavefiber.com address. Add CustomerSupport@clearwavefiber.com to your contacts so it doesn't get caught by a spam filter.
Will there be any downtime during the switch from Point Broadband to Clearwave?
Not to your Internet service. That will remain uninterrupted. During your migration weekend, online bill pay and account changes will be paused for a short window while we move your account over. Our support team is still available the whole time, and we'll let you know your exact dates before it happens.
Will I still be able to use the Point SmartHome app?
Yes. The Point SmartHome app will still be available for you to use. This will also be rebranded to Clearwave in early 2027.
Will I use the same phone number if I need to contact Clearwave formerly Point Broadband?
No, that will change once we become Clearwave. After your account has been moved, please call 877-293-2973 for all assistance moving forward.
Will the website still be the same?
No. Our new website will be clearwavefiber.com. Once you have been moved to your new Clearwave account, you will be able to manage your online account from there moving forward.
What if I have more questions or need help?
We're here 24/7 for technical support, a real person, any time. For billing or account questions, call 877-293-2973, email CustomerSupport@clearwavefiber.com, or chat with us online.
